Gunnar Morris Breaks IGFA Junior Record for Smallmouth Bass

Acme Tackle Company is proud to announce that young angler, Gunnar Morris, has shattered the International Game Fish Association (IGFA) junior length class record for smallmouth bass. His incredible catch, a massive smallie, was landed on a 4" Kalin Grub in smoke salt and pepper.

The day of the record-breaking catch was a gloomy one on the reservoir. Despite the less-than-ideal conditions, Gunnar noticed a frenzy of alewife activity on the surface. Recognizing the opportunity, he quickly switched to the Kalin Grub to mimic the baitfish.

Despite numerous hookups, Gunnar struggled to land any truly giant smallmouths. Undeterred, he adjusted his strategy, letting the grub sink on slack line in approximately 20 feet of water. As the grub neared the bottom, a massive smallmouth struck, and this time, the fish stayed hooked.

Gunnar's incredible catch not only broke the IGFA junior record but also showcases his skill and dedication as an angler. Acme Tackle Company is honored to have played a role in this remarkable achievement.
